The Mongolian 2007 TIMSS Scores

I promised those Mongolian 2007 TIMSS Science and Math scores in the last post, and here they are, with some worthwhile comparisons.

Data here (xlsx).
All are for fourth grade. X-axis is by percentile. The first chart is for math scores, the second for science. I am surprised at the high science scores of El Salvador. I believe this is consistent with my suspicions that, due to the Mongols’ nomadic nature, Mongolian IQ is below the level common in most of Europe. Given Mongolia’s isolation, its superior performance on math as opposed to science should not be surprising. Of course, as suggested by Lynn, Mongolian IQ may well be higher, but these scores provide no evidence to unambiguously affirm this hypothesis.
